Bob is a native Houstonian as are both of his parents. His wife for over 30 years, Vickie is a teacher at Fairmont Elementary in Deer Park. Bob has three sons, Travis who will graduate from Texas State University in December 2007, majoring in Geographical Information Systems, Taylor a student at Texas State University, majoring in Bio-Chemistry and Robert who is a student at Louisiana State University majoring in Geo-Phyics.
Bob attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. He began his insurance career with State Mutual Life Assurance Company, which later became Allmerica Financial as a Group Sales Representative. He worked with Allmerica Financial for over 17 years, before becoming a broker in 1997 with Wisenberg Insurance. Bob joined Fred Brown Insurance Brokerage in January of 2000. Some of Bob's duties at Fred Brown Insurance Brokerage are:
- Prospecting for new clients,
- Requesting, preparing and presenting proposals and renewals for current clients,
- Assisting with the implementation of new plans for new and current clients,
- Working with current clients on service issues, benefit plan questions, legislative questions and employee questions,
- Advising prospects and clients of unique and creative benefit designs and funding options to provide solutions to their specific needs and goals.
